Description
Seen from an anterior perspective beneath the skin of an adult male, the distal humerus and elbow joint anchor the proximal forearm while the radius lies lateral (thumb side) and the ulna medial (little finger side) as they continue distally to the carpus, metacarpals, and phalanges. Pronator teres is isolated in red, arising by a humeral head from the medial epicondyle and by an ulnar head from the coronoid process, then coursing inferolaterally to insert on the lateral surface of the mid-radius. Its oblique fiber direction places it superficial to the deeper flexor-pronator mass near the cubital fossa. Clear landmarks.
