Ischial ramus forms the posteroinferior limb of the obturator foramen and runs anteromedially from the body of the ischium toward the inferior pubic ramus. From this anterior perspective, the ramus is seen as a slender cortical strut inferior to the acetabular region and lateral to the pubic symphysis, completing the ischiopubic junction along the lower margin of the pelvis. Its medial surface faces the perineal compartment, while the lateral surface contributes to the pelvic and obturator contours. Bone edges read sharply.
