Prominent dorsal spines and transverse ridges contour the posterior dorsum, while the anterior margin suggests the gnathosoma at the leading edge, where the mouthparts project. Short, segmented legs arise ventrolaterally and curve anterolaterally, consistent with an acarid profile, and the overall silhouette reads as a compact, domed ectoparasite rather than the more elongate, sclerotized form typical of ixodid ticks. Small details matter.
