Viewed obliquely from a posterolateral angle, the male skull is rendered with the parietal bones arching superiorly and the occipital bone forming the posterior cranial vault, their junction traced by the lambdoid suture. Running along the midline, the sagittal suture divides the parietals, while the coronal suture marks the anterior boundary toward the frontal bone. Inferolaterally, the temporal region comes into relief, including the mastoid process posterior to the external acoustic meatus, with the zygomatic bone projecting anteriorly toward the lateral orbital margin.
