Description
Anterior full-body anatomy is rendered in standard anatomical position, with superficial skeletal muscles of the face, neck, trunk, and limbs labeled by fiber direction and contour. Superiorly, the frontalis, orbicularis oculi and oris, masseter, and platysma transition into the sternocleidomastoid and trapezius along the lateral neck and shoulder girdle. Across the thorax and upper limb, the pectoralis major lies medial to the deltoid, while biceps brachii and brachialis occupy the anterior arm proximal to the flexor-pronator mass of the forearm; inferiorly, rectus abdominis and external oblique frame the linea alba above the pelvis, and the quadriceps femoris (rectus femoris with vasti lateralis and medialis) continues into the anterior leg musculature toward the ankle. Overlying the pectoral region, the mammary glands are sectioned to show lobules converging into lactiferous ducts that course anterior to the pectoralis major and toward the nipple-areolar complex. Breast parenchyma in direct relationship to the pectoralis fascia is a practical teaching point, because surgical planes in mastectomy and implant-based reconstruction often dissect on, or just superficial to, that fascial layer while respecting the perforators that traverse the intercostal spaces. Axillary extension of glandular tissue and the proximity of the lateral breast to the anterior axillary fold can be appreciated alongside the bordering muscles, a setup for discussions of sentinel lymph node biopsy and post-operative shoulder dysfunction. Clean surface anatomy. No guesswork. Use this plate for undergraduate myology labs, gross anatomy lecture slides, and medical publishing layouts that need an integrated view of female skeletal muscle with mammary gland anatomy for breast surgery, oncology, lactation education, or physical therapy contexts. Anatomical accuracy verified by SciePro's Medical Advisory Board.
