Description
Spanning from the skull base to the proximal upper limbs, the arterial tree of the male upper body is presented in relation to the bony framework of the cranium, mandible with dentition, rib cage, and humerus. Ascending through the neck, the common carotid arteries course superiorly within the carotid sheath before bifurcating near the upper border of the thyroid cartilage into internal and external carotid arteries, with the internal carotid continuing toward the cranial cavity.
