Description
Rendered in standard anatomical position, a young male figure presents the superficial skeletal musculature from head to foot, with the upper limbs held alongside the trunk and the forearms supinated so the palms face anteriorly. Across the thorax and abdomen, the pectoralis major lies anterior to the rib cage and serratus anterior digitations interlock laterally with the external oblique, while the rectus abdominis runs vertically on either side of the linea alba. Proximally in the arm, the biceps brachii occupies the anterior compartment opposite the posterior triceps brachii, and distally the quadriceps femoris group dominates the anterior thigh, continuing as the patellar tendon toward the tibial tuberosity; posteriorly you would expect the latissimus dorsi and gluteal region to frame the lumbar fascia and proximal femur. Tendinous regions are emphasized at major joints. Clean landmarks.
