Description
Cut through an anterior section of the male heart, the animation reveals the right and left ventricles flanking the interventricular septum, with the apex positioned inferiorly and to the left in anatomical position. As the myocardium contracts and relaxes through the cardiac cycle, ventricular wall thickening, chamber volume change, and septal excursion read clearly from base to apex. Superiorly, the aortic root and pulmonary trunk sit anterior to the atria, while the superior and inferior vena cava align on the right side of the inflow tract. Valve leaflets move in sequence.
