Description
Centered on a male abdominal radiograph-style view, the animation positions the large intestine against the skeletal framework, with the cecum and ascending colon rising in the right lower quadrant toward the hepatic flexure beneath the right costal margin. The transverse colon then courses anteriorly across the upper abdomen, inferior to the ribs and liver shadow, before angling at the splenic flexure near the left upper quadrant. Descending colon tracks inferiorly along the left flank, transitioning into the sigmoid colon within the pelvic inlet and continuing to the rectum, aligned with the sacrum and coccyx. Haustra and segmental caliber changes remain visible as the sequence advances.
