Description
Nested within the soft-tissue envelope of the adult male head, the articulated skull is presented in situ, with the cranial vault (frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital bones) forming the superior and posterior calvaria around the cranial cavity. An anterior sequence brings the facial skeleton into prominence, including the maxillae, zygomatic bones, nasal bones, mandible, and the orbit margins, while lateral rotation clarifies how the temporal bone sits inferolateral to the parietal bone and how the zygomatic arch bridges anteriorly toward the maxilla. As the view progresses, sutural boundaries become readable in context, the coronal suture separating frontal from parietals, the squamous suture tracking along the temporal region, and the lambdoid suture spanning the occiput. Orientation stays anchored to anatomical position.
