Description
Centered in the lesser pelvis, the uterus is presented from fundus to cervix, with the uterine body tapering through the isthmus into the cervical canal. Laterally, each uterine (fallopian) tube tracks within the broad ligament from the uterine cornua, widening through the ampulla before ending in the infundibulum and fimbriae that drape toward the ovary. A sequential rotation and gentle pullback clarifies how the ovaries sit posterolateral to the uterus, suspended by the mesovarium and linked to the uterine cornu by the ovarian ligament, while their more lateral attachment follows the suspensory ligament carrying the ovarian vessels. Spatial relationships to the urinary bladder anteriorly and rectum posteriorly are kept legible as the pelvis reorients. Clean landmarks.
