Description
Beginning at the cranial vault, the animation traces the brain, brainstem, and cerebellum as they continue inferiorly into the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral segments of the spinal cord within the vertebral canal. Paired spinal nerve roots emerge laterally through the intervertebral foramina, then divide into dorsal and ventral rami that form the cervical, brachial, lumbar, and sacral plexuses before coursing distally into the upper and lower limbs as named peripheral nerves. Across the thorax and abdomen, the sympathetic trunks and prevertebral plexuses appear alongside the vagus nerves, while pelvic branches, including sacral roots and pudendal distribution, are shown in relation to male pelvic organs. Spatial continuity is the point.
