Description

The vessel runs anteriorly and slightly inferiorly across the labiomental groove, typically arising from the facial artery system and anastomosing with the inferior labial and mental arterial territories near the mental foramen. Red arterial channels and blue venous counterparts trace across the face and cranium, with orbital vascular networks visible deep to the superolateral and inferomedial margins of the bony orbit.
