Description
Posterior anatomy of the male upper limb is rendered from the shoulder to the hand, with emphasis on the paired brachial veins (venae brachiales) accompanying the brachial artery along the medial aspect of the arm. Proximally, these deep venous channels converge toward the axilla, where they contribute to the axillary vein near the inferior border of teres major, while distally they communicate with the radial and ulnar venae comitantes in the cubital region. Superficial pathways are also visible, including the basilic vein coursing medially and the cephalic vein tracking along the lateral arm and forearm, with smaller dorsal digital veins extending into the fingers. A single green tract is included to indicate an adjacent major nerve along the posterior compartment. Close quarters. This posterior perspective is practical when you need to teach how the deep venous system of the upper arm relates to common access and injury zones, where vessels, nerves, and fascia lie tightly bound by the brachial fascia and intermuscular septa.
