Posterior shoulder anatomy dominates the frame, with the deltoid muscle draped over the glenohumeral region and inserting distally onto the deltoid tuberosity of the lateral humerus. The posterior (spinal) part of the deltoid arises from the spine of the scapula and runs inferolaterally, its fascicles distinct from the more anterior clavicular and acromial parts that wrap around toward the lateral arm.
