Description
Presented in a transparent skull context, the male mandible is isolated from an inferior perspective, bringing the body and rami into clear relief against the maxilla and cranial base. Along the medial surface of the mandibular body, the mylohyoid groove runs obliquely from the mandibular foramen anteroinferiorly toward the sublingual fossa, marking the course of the nerve to mylohyoid after it branches from the inferior alveolar nerve.
