Description
Rendered from an oblique, encompassing angle, the male head and upper thorax are shown with the arterial tree in red and the venous return in blue, allowing the carotid inflow and jugular outflow to be read as a continuous circuit from the superior mediastinum into the face and cranial vault. Superior to the neck, branches consistent with the external carotid system course anterolaterally across the face and scalp, while deeper channels align with the internal carotid pathway toward the cranial cavity. Posterior and superior within the skull, the dural venous sinuses form a confluent drainage network that collects cerebral venous blood and directs it inferiorly toward the internal jugular veins. Color separation keeps the spatial relationship clear.
