Seen in a male full-body anatomical rendering, the axial skeleton (skull, vertebral column, ribs, pelvis) forms the framework for an overlaid neurovascular style map in which yellow peripheral nerves radiate segmentally from the spinal cord and blue lymphatic vessels track along the neck, axillae, thorax, abdomen, and inguinal regions. Along the paravertebral margins of the thoracic and lumbar vertebral bodies, the sympathetic trunks run longitudinally, giving off rami communicantes to spinal nerves and visceral branches that course anteriorly toward thoracic and abdominopelvic targets.
