Description
Right lateral profile of an adult female torso and upper limb combines surface form with selective dissection of the shoulder girdle, arm, and forearm. Superficial fibers of deltoid cap the lateral shoulder, while pectoralis major sweeps from the anterior chest toward its humeral insertion, sitting anterior to the scapular plane where trapezius and latissimus dorsi contour the posterior neck and back. Along the arm, biceps brachii occupies the anterior compartment and triceps brachii defines the posterior compartment, continuing distally into the elbow region where the common flexor origin at the medial epicondyle gives rise to the powerful forearm flexors (pronator teres, flexor carpi radialis, palmaris longus, flexor digitorum superficialis, flexor carpi ulnaris) overlying the deeper flexor digitorum profundus. Breast tissue is rendered in section over the anterior chest wall, with glandular lobules embedded in adipose tissue superficial to pectoralis fascia. Clean landmarks. Clinically, the combination of breast anatomy with pectoralis major and the anterior axillary fold supports teaching of mastectomy planes, implant pocket selection (subglandular versus subpectoral), and the relationship of the breast to axillary access for sentinel lymph node biopsy. The emphasized flexor mass also maps neatly onto common overuse patterns such as medial epicondylitis (flexor pronator tendinopathy) and the functional line from forearm flexors to the carpal tunnel, where flexor tendons share limited space with the median nerve. For surgical anatomy, the profile orientation helps clarify anterior versus posterior compartment boundaries at the arm and the change in muscle bulk approaching the elbow. Use this asset in upper-limb myology labs, breast surgery and plastic surgery teaching files, and medical publishing layouts that need an anatomically faithful female reference without defaulting to a male model. It also fits patient-facing materials explaining breast procedures alongside expected shoulder and arm mechanics during recovery. Anatomical accuracy verified by SciePro's Medical Advisory Board.
