Description
Endometrial mucosa lines the uterine cavity, and this internal histology-oriented illustration resolves its layered architecture from the luminal surface down to the endometrial myometrial junction. Uterine (endometrial) glands appear as tubular profiles embedded in a cellular stroma, while small arterioles and larger coiled vessels course between glands toward the surface. Superficially, the stratum functionalis occupies the luminal side and transitions inferiorly into the stratum basalis, where gland bases and vascular roots sit closest to the underlying myometrium. Fine stromal detail is prominent.
