Description
Maxillary body (corpus maxillae) dominates the lateral midface in this image, with the zygomatic process projecting superolaterally toward its articulation with the zygomatic bone. Medially, the lateral wall of the nasal cavity and the margin of the piriform aperture define the boundary of the nasal opening, while the anterior surface of the maxilla forms the facial contour inferior to the orbit. The infraorbital region is identifiable along the superior aspect of the body, and the alveolar process extends inferiorly to support the maxillary dentition, transitioning posteriorly toward the maxillary tuberosity. Spatial relationships read cleanly from lateral to medial: zygomatic buttress laterally, maxillary body centrally, nasal cavity medially.
