Fine transverse folia contour the cerebellar cortex, and the midline region aligns with the roof of the fourth ventricle just anterior to the cerebellum. Inferiorly, the brainstem tapers toward the foramen magnum, continuing as the cervical spinal cord within the vertebral canal, while the surrounding skull is rendered transparent to maintain bony context without obscuring neural anatomy. The arbor vitae is implied by the cerebellum’s lobulated architecture. Clear separation of supra- and infratentorial compartments. A posterior view like this matters when you need to teach or plan around the tight confines of the posterior fossa, where small changes in volume can compress the brainstem or obstruct CSF outflow at the level of the fourth ventricle.
