Posteriorly oriented, x-ray style transparency of an adult male figure traces the systemic vasculature in red (arteries) and blue (veins) from the cervical region through the trunk and into the upper and lower limbs. Along the midline, the descending thoracic aorta continues as the abdominal aorta anterior to the vertebral column, while the inferior vena cava ascends slightly to the right of the aorta, receiving paired lumbar veins. Segmental branches radiate laterally and distally into the extremities, where arterial trees taper toward arterioles and capillary beds and venous channels converge proximally. Superimposed on this vascular map, the spinal cord runs centrally within the vertebral canal with peripheral nerves emerging bilaterally and coursing into the shoulders, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, and legs. Clear midline anatomy.
