Description
Posterior anatomy of a male child is rendered with the superficial muscular system in clear relief, from the cervical region down to the calcaneal level. Superiorly, the trapezius spans from the midline nuchal region to the scapular spine and acromion, lying superficial to the infraspinatus and teres major on the posterior scapula, while the deltoid caps the shoulder laterally. The gluteal and calf profiles also help frame gait evaluation in neuromuscular disease, including Duchenne muscular dystrophy, where compensatory lumbar lordosis and proximal weakness alter the silhouette.
