Running superficially along the medial (ulnar) border of the male upper limb, the basilic vein is traced from the dorsomedial hand and forearm toward the antecubital fossa and up the arm. From an anterior perspective, its course lies medial to the biceps brachii region and anterior to the humerus, with the cubital (median cubital) connection across the fossa logically linking to the lateral cephalic vein. Deep landmarks frame the pathway, including the radius and ulna in the forearm, the humeral shaft proximally, and the scapula at the shoulder girdle. Color coding distinguishes the venous system from the accompanying arterial tree, with the brachial artery running deeper and more central.
