Description

Anterior muscle sheets of an adult female figure are presented in a three-quarter anterolateral view, with superficial and select deeper layers separated enough to read fiber direction and attachment lines. Across the thorax, the pectoralis major spans from the clavicle and sternum toward the lateral lip of the intertubercular sulcus, while the serratus anterior interdigitates along the lateral ribs deep to the anterior border of the latissimus dorsi. At the shoulder, deltoid contours wrap from clavicle and scapular spine to the deltoid tuberosity, and the biceps brachii sits anterior to the humerus, with the radius and ulna partially exposed beneath. Inferiorly, the rectus abdominis and external oblique form the anterior abdominal wall above the iliac crest, and the quadriceps femoris dominates the anterior thigh over the femur, continuing distally toward the patella and tibial tuberosity. Bone landmarks are readable. Myology is easier to teach when muscle mass is anchored to the skeleton, and the partial rib cage, sternum, and long bones make origin and insertion logic explicit rather than decorative. The three-quarter angle is a practical compromise for clinical anatomy because it preserves anterior relationships while giving lateral context for common approaches, such as the deltopectoral interval used in shoulder arthroplasty and proximal humerus fixation. Fiber orientation also helps explain functional deficits, for example why a femoral nerve lesion weakens knee extension by denervating much of the quadriceps, while sparing hamstring-driven hip extension posteriorly. Use this rendering for gross anatomy and kinesiology modules covering the anterior compartment of the upper limb, abdominal wall layering, and anterior thigh mechanics, or for textbook figures that need clean labeling of muscles, myofiber direction, and myosin-driven contractile architecture without distracting background detail. It also fits patient education materials for rotator cuff and shoulder surgery consults where surface landmarks must map to deeper structures.
