Description
Presented in standard anatomical position, the male superficial venous network is traced in blue over the red musculature from head to foot. In the upper limb, the cephalic vein courses along the anterolateral forearm and arm toward the deltopectoral groove, while the basilic vein runs more medially and joins via the median cubital vein across the cubital fossa. Inferiorly, the great saphenous vein ascends anterior to the medial malleolus along the medial leg and thigh toward the saphenofemoral junction, and the small saphenous vein tracks posterior to the lateral malleolus up the posterior calf toward the popliteal fossa, with superficial epigastric and thoracoepigastric channels providing a visible bridge along the anterolateral trunk.
