Description
Oriented in a true lateral perspective, the ulna lies medial to the radius along the length of the forearm, with the interosseous space separating their shafts and widening subtly as it runs distal. Proximally, the ulnar olecranon and trochlear notch define the posterior elbow contour, while the radial head sits anterolateral to the ulna at the level of the capitulum. Distally, the radius flares toward its metaphysis and styloid region, while the ulna tapers to its smaller distal head and styloid, remaining slightly posterior and medial in this projection.
