Description
Across the palmar (anterior) surface of the male hand, the superficial venous plexus is traced as venules coalesce along the digits and converge toward the distal palm, draping over the phalanges, metacarpals, and the distal carpal row. Digital veins course along the radial and ulnar margins of each finger, interconnected by transverse channels near the flexion creases, then gather into palmar metacarpal veins that lie anterior to the metacarpal shafts. Neural elements are included as fine cords in the palm and along the digits, running in parallel with the vascular pathways and crossing at the level of the metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints. Relationships to bony landmarks stay clear.
