Description
Framed within the male abdominal cavity, the animation sequences through the foregut, midgut, and hindgut viscera, starting with the stomach in the left upper quadrant tucked inferior to the left hemidiaphragm and anteromedial to the spleen. The liver occupies the right upper quadrant, its inferior surface cradling the gallbladder, while the pancreas lies posterior to the stomach with the C-shaped duodenum curving around the pancreatic head. As the view progresses, coils of jejunum and ileum fill the central and inferior abdomen, suspended by the mesentery, and the large intestine forms a peripheral frame from cecum and appendix in the right iliac fossa to the transverse colon crossing anterior to the small bowel and the sigmoid colon descending into the pelvis.
