Description
Rendered as a transparent lateral profile of the male head and neck, the grayscale cerebrum is overlaid by a branching superficial-to-deep venous network in blue. Cortical veins course over the convexity of the frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital lobes, then converge superiorly toward the superior sagittal sinus and posteriorly toward the transverse and sigmoid sinuses. Inferior drainage tracks toward the cavernous sinus region and petrosal pathways, continuing into the internal jugular vein at the jugular foramen, with superficial tributaries in the face and scalp communicating via emissary routes. Spatial relationships read clearly: superior sinuses along the cranial vault, deep channels at the skull base, and cervical outflow descending in the neck.
