Description
Seen in lateral profile, the seventh thoracic vertebra (T7) is presented as a single mid-thoracic motion segment element with a relatively heart-shaped vertebral body anteriorly and the vertebral arch posteriorly. Pedicles project posterolaterally from the body and merge into the laminae, which meet to form the spinous process directed inferiorly, typical of the thoracic region.
