Description
Positioned on the visceral (inferior) surface of the liver, the gallbladder is rendered as a pear-shaped sac with fundus projecting anteriorly and inferiorly, a body applied to the hepatic fossa, and a neck tapering posteromedially into the cystic duct. The sequence traces the cystic duct as it courses to meet the common hepatic duct, forming the common bile duct within the extrahepatic biliary tree. As the camera advances along the lumen, the animation emphasizes continuity from gallbladder neck through the spiral folds of the cystic duct toward the hepatoduodenal ligament.
