Seen in lateral profile, the tarsal navicular (scaphoid) sits on the medial side of the midfoot, distal to the talar head and proximal to the three cuneiforms, forming the keystone of the medial longitudinal arch. Posteriorly, the talus rests superior to the calcaneus, while anteriorly the metatarsals and phalanges extend distally in alignment with the midfoot. A blue and white overlay likely delineates the talonavicular and naviculocuneiform articular cartilage, clarifying joint margins and congruence.
